Terms and Conditions

1000Attorneys.com

Last Revised: January 16, 2026

1. Introduction

1000Attorneys.com operates a Lawyer Referral and Information Service (“LRIS”) certified by the State Bar of California. The website also offers limited, optional informational services as described below.

By accessing or using this website or any service offered through it, including the lawyer referral service and the Low-Cost Guidance Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use this website or its services.

2. Nature and Scope of the Lawyer Referral and Information Service

1000Attorneys.com is not a law firm and does not practice law or provide legal representation.

The LRIS connects users with attorneys who, at the time of enrollment, are licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California. Attorneys participating in the LRIS are independent professionals and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of 1000Attorneys.com.

Consistent with State Bar LRIS regulations, 1000Attorneys.com conducts credential and eligibility screening at enrollment and periodic review thereafter. However, 1000Attorneys.com does not guarantee:

  • an attorney’s continued licensure or standing,

  • acceptance of any particular legal matter,

  • the quality or outcome of legal services,

  • legal fees charged by an attorney, or

  • the results of any legal matter.

All decisions regarding case acceptance, scope of representation, strategy, fees, and legal services are made solely by the attorney and the client, without involvement or control by 1000Attorneys.com.

Submission of a referral request or receipt of attorney contact information does not create an attorney-client relationship.

3. Disclaimer of Liability – Lawyer Referral Service

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, 1000Attorneys.com disclaims liability for:

  • acts or omissions of referred attorneys,

  • legal advice or services provided by attorneys,

  • fee disputes, malpractice claims, or dissatisfaction with representation, and

  • outcomes of legal matters.

Any attorney-client relationship formed following a referral is independent of 1000Attorneys.com. Users agree that disputes or claims arising from legal representation must be addressed directly with the attorney.

Except as expressly permitted under applicable LRIS rules, 1000Attorneys.com does not set, collect, negotiate, or control attorney fees and does not interfere with attorney professional judgment.

4. Low-Cost Guidance Program (Informational Service Only)

The Low-Cost Guidance Program is a separate, optional, non-legal information service designed to provide general educational information when individuals are unsure what laws may apply or have had difficulty obtaining explanations from law firms.

This program provides general legal information for educational purposes only and does not provide legal advice.

The Low-Cost Guidance Program:

  • does not create an attorney-client relationship,

  • does not involve attorney-client privilege,

  • does not include legal representation or a consultation with an attorney,

  • does not constitute a lawyer referral request.

Responses are based solely on the limited information provided by the user and may reference general legal concepts, potentially applicable California laws, procedural considerations, and publicly available or low-cost resources.

Information provided through this program is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney and should not be relied upon to take or refrain from legal action.

All fees for this program are final and non-refundable once the inquiry is submitted.

5. Reviews, Feedback, and Attorney Independence

1000Attorneys.com welcomes good-faith feedback regarding the referral service itself, including the intake and referral process.

After a referral is made:

  • all communications and decisions are between the client and the attorney,

  • attorneys independently determine whether to accept or decline representation.

Reviews of 1000Attorneys.com should relate to the referral service and not to the independent actions of attorneys after referral. Concerns regarding attorney conduct or representation should be directed to the attorney or the State Bar of California.

Nothing in this section restricts lawful consumer reviews. Knowingly false, misleading, defamatory, or malicious statements are prohibited. This policy complies with the Consumer Review Fairness Act.

6. Misuse of Services

1000Attorneys.com reserves the right to limit, suspend, or deny access to services in cases of misuse, including repeated frivolous, abusive, or bad-faith submissions, or conduct that interferes with regulatory compliance or platform integrity.

7. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, 1000Attorneys.com shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or services.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1000Attorneys.com and its officers, employees, and affiliates from claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from misuse of services, violation of these Terms, disputes with referred attorneys, or content you submit.

8. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

9. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, text, and design elements are the property of 1000Attorneys.com and may not be used or reproduced without prior written permission.

10. Modifications

These Terms may be updated at any time. Updates are effective upon posting. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

11. Privacy

Personal information is collected solely to provide services and communicate with users, consistent with applicable privacy laws, including CalOPPA. Information may be shared with referred attorneys or service providers subject to confidentiality obligations. Personal data is not sold.
